LOL I guess I'll find that out when I try to put them back on. BTW were you able to reuse the gaskets that are at the connections between the crossover and mufflers?

I always replace the inter-connection gaskets with new ones whenever I remove the mufflers. The gaskets seem to be held together with a thermo setting glue that melts and forms and air tight seal. That only works once, so trying to reuse the gaskets doesn't work as you won't get an air tight seal second time around.

The gaskets aren't exactly expensive, so why try to reuse them?

Thanks Rob. The reason I was wondering was when I went to buy 4 of them (I have two bikes and I'm switching slip-ons) the dealer only had 2 which I bought. They said 2 is all they stock of those gaskets. That made me think not many people ever buy them.

I live in CA, and bought my 2007 Sportster in CA, and it had not cats in exhaust or mufflers. I know cause I "modified" the stock mufflers. Only thing inside was a steel baffle.
