The parts say this pac and rack are for a 2004 and new sporty but with a little help from a press and so creative thinking I was able to get this tour pack to fit very nicely on wifey's 1200c tonight.
The pac is removable just a quickly and easily as the backrest is, just a little heavier and bulkier. In fact her pac is easier to remove then mine is.
Now how far away are you boys I'm always up for a ride and a little fun
The rack the i used fits on the quick detatch hardware for the backrest after you give the rac a little massage with the bender. the new sportys have a wider fender on them and all you have to do is queeze the rack in about 1" to work. the rack is made from one piece of metal that is shapped like an upside down U so after you give it a squeeze in you have to get the bottom squared back up again. really easy to do for anybody with a press and some knowledge. mine also managed to get bent and did not affect the chrome finish at all which surprised me, I was fully expecting to have to get it rechromed over the winter.
