Thank you for your reply, the oil tank and battery covers are AliExpress items, I bought them in 2019 for about Ł20 for the pair including shipping. They are ABS plastic, a lot lighter in weight than the stock covers.
I have now replaced the covers with these below, they were about Ł30 for the pair including shipping, these are also ABS plastic.
Yes, they are excellent quality and they fit perfectly.
They are available for 2004 to 2013 and 2014 to 2022 Sportster models.
The oil tank cover is the same through all the rubber mounted years, but the battery cover was changed in 2014, the mounting slots are in a different place to the earlier covers.
I've been making several other changes to my Iron 883, new larger fairing, higher handlebars, upgraded four piston front brake caliper, new braided front brakeline, Avon Cobra Chrome tires, gloss black rear pulley cover, new piggy back rear shock absorbers, etc.
I will be selling the Iron 883 later this year to a good buddy who I've known since 1980.

I swapped the ham can on my '05 Roadster for an aftermarket smaller AC not just for aesthetic reasons but also (and mostly) because my right knee needed the room. This led me down the rabbit hole of crankcase pressure and venting, which I solved with a DK Customs catch can. Works fine, though it's one more maintenance item that I need to remember. Is there a stock HD AC that isn't as bulky as a ham cam and also takes care of redirecting crankcase venting into the carb? What do those circular HD ACs look like under the hood, and do they connect/interface with the stock breather bolts?
