Whats the totalweight between the 2 of you riding on the sportster?

Guess that depends on whether it's a piglet or a hog. The later it gets ( or maybe it's the more beers) the less it matters.

right at 400 on a 883 without problems so far.

I run right at 190# and G/f is around (she wont give an exact number) 105#.
I ride an 883 also,and can report narry a whimper from it under "loaded" conditions.

Any more than about 325 combined and you better put a tail on that bike.

I am 260# and my wife is 115# so there ya go. No problems running it that way....

I am 210 and wife is 105 but have done no 2up yet. Dont think the 1200 will have any trouble though. Now me on the other hand maybe a diffrent story.

I go 230 and the wife around 130 never had a problem.

My wife and I now add up to about 350, down from about 375 at the beginning if the summer (we both lost a bit). No problem with the passenger weight - if anything, the 1200C seems a bit more steady at highway speeds when we ride together. Finding the right pre-load setting for the rear suspension makes a world of difference...
