I think part of the issue is I am at sea level. They set these up pretty hot I think. I have the mikuni jetting really fat and the timing retarded quite a bit and it's still running hot. It rips, but pings a lot when you go to full WOT. Enough so that I think if you kept on it, it would definitely do some damage. I'll talk to Hammer tomorrow. They'll know what the best course of action is.

The new motor has Hammer's 100hp package. It has everything listed here in Hammers sample invoice.
I agree the ccp should be around 190psi for your octane. Basically you need cams with a later exhaust closing and more overlap. I'll work your combo backwards in pipe max to get an idea of what your CR is.

NICE!!! I know you like the silver jugs, but it appears that they only come in the "small fin" version. I think
the large fins help with heat dissipation... I have basically the same package (but 1250) with the large fin jugs,
but set up to work with the Jackhammer 570 cams. Since it looks like you have a programmable ignition,
perhaps you need to adjust the timing down a bit ?

EDIT: I did not see what exhaust you are running ? as you know, the pipe will play a big role....

good luck,

T.

I'm not familiar with the Dynatec 2000i programming via PC interface, but here is what @aswracing Arron
sent me (I'm a TTS Mastertune user) for breakin-in timing values....

The intake valve close timing (IVC) determines how much compression you get out of a given compression ratio, not duration or lift or overlap or anything like that. More info here: https://www.hammerperf.com/ttvideos....mpressionratio

If the 100hp package is cranking 225psi, something is wrong. First thing I'd check would be the cam timing. If for example you were one tooth off on the pinion connection, in the advanced direction, the compression in both cylinders would go up more than 20psi.

No they offer 1250 & 1275, big fin & small fin, in all three colors (silver, black, black with highlighted fins). Literally twelve different cylinders to cover all applications and colors. Except they don't have the gray used on the "72" or the lighter shade of gray used on the XR1200.
