Default New to the harley sense

Hello,
my name is Mike I'm new to the harley sense, but have been on motorcycles for 10 plus yrs. I'm 36 years old and ride in the very short riding season state of Washington however I ride yr round. I just purchased a 2007 HD sporty 1200xl. I bit of a background of my bike. I bought it about 6 months ago and was super stoked about it. After i got my gear on I headed out for my first ride. Got about 20 mins into my ride and bam back tire locks up at 45mph after a loud noise from the engine. Almost laid it down from the back tire locking up. Luckily I was able to keep it upright and come to a safe stop. Anyway I had it towed back to my place and after inspecting found that I had lost the dog gear from 2nd to 3rd. It was in multiple pieces. So I ended up trading one of my other bikes 2009 ninja 250r (one of my track bikes I had built years ago) for a bottom end from another 1200 sporty but this bottom end was a rigid mount engine and not a rubber mount like what I originally had im not sure of the yr that the rigid mount is off of but i know its pre 2003. After a long 4 months of rebuilding that bottom end and swapping everything over from my original motor and after fabing up custom motor mounts and getting everything (so I thought) transferred over and put back ok the frame and ready to start i found that I have not spark. Bike cranks over but won't start. But after some diag I found that I have no spark but I'm very fresh to Harleys this is my first one. I can't really figure out why I am not getting spark. Then I realized that I may have lost my ICM some where in the 4 month rebuild and assembly processes and don't know because some things I read say it's integrated in the ecu some pages say that it is separate from the ecu but still under the seat by the ecu. Now I do have a Vance and Hines fuelpak3 installed on my bike but I'm lost at this point on what to do or try to get this thing running and with riding season here I need this thing on the road asap especially since I have had some unfortunate events happen recently (lost my apartment had to sell off my car and all my other bikes 3 bikes all together so this harley is all I have left for transportation now) any help on what to do to get this thing back on the road would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys and hope everyone has a great riding season and please keep 2 wheels down and stay safe.

Mike

@Sporty1200xl I have moved this thread from the Welcome section to the Sportster Models section as you will get better responses to your question in this section.
The Welcome section is more for introducing yourself & letting other forum members know what Harley Davidson you own. Please feel free to post a new thread back in the Welcome area to introduce yourself.

Moving the post to the Sportster Models will probably get more reads. It would also help if there were several lines/paragraphs instead of
one long paragraph.

All I can say is good luck.

I separated your post so it was easier to read, suggest you do the same when you reply.

Did not know a pre 2003 Sportster trap door transmission would work in a 2007 Sportster.

So you split the cases to find the dog gear trashed?

Pictures would be useful; however, I sense something fishy in this post or you are not explaining it correctly.

Thank you, the original version was hard to read.

Could it be the "Harley Sense"? I have never heard of that
