After raising my 1200 lo I am finding the lean a bit excessive. My stand measures 8 from the pivot point to the first bend. Is there a longer Harley stand or do I need to go aftermarket? I raised it by installing progressive mono tubes so its not a huge raise but it sure rides nicely. Not sure if this picture shows the angle but its definitely too leany
Get a new kickstand for one of the "non low" models or aftermarket. There's a guy just posted about needing a shorter kickstand, maybe you guys can swap?
Depends on how high the OP "raised" the bike. Those Roadsters sit pretty high, so he may need an "in-between" stand.
I have a FLHR and lowered an inch front and rear. I felt like the bike was going to tip over with a gust of wind with regular the jiffy stand, so I got an inch shorter stand and now I'm good.
Measure what you have now to the length in the catalog. https://www.dragspecialties.com/ Harley changes the ride height & kickstand length with the market & the bike. So what is -1" Kick stand in the Drag Specialties catalog is the same length as the one that came stock jiffy stand on my 48. 7" from first bend at top (mount) to 1st bend at bottom (where it touches the ground). So when I get around to doing mine I actually want to get what Drag Specialties calls the stock length. I changed my rear shocks from the low rider emulsion shocks that comes factory on the 48's in the US to the road king shocks which are the lowered touring bike shock. When I did it I raised my rear end by 1.5" Any longer kickstand than 8" & the bike wouldn't be stable on the stand. So it looks like you would want the +1 stand since yours is already 8" Look for part # 0510-0381.Try it with something under the stand 1st though to make sure its stable. Shown below I have a 20 degree lean. I added 1" of wood under the stand & decided any more would be too much so I know that's what I'll order. Or ask my kids to get me for fathers day.
I ordered the Drag Specialities +1 kickstand from revzilla when I got 13 inch shocks and taller front fork.
Its revzilla part number 1277607 for black or 1277606 for chrome. I measured it at roughly 9 inches from the pivot to the bend
Thanks for all the replies. I will probably make up a block for under the stand for now and see how I like it. I’m not having any luck finding a longer used one.
