Default hi again

I have a 2004 harley sportster roadster. I changed the battery in the fob and could not get it to start (the signal lights just blinked and it wouldnt start) I posted it on this forum and I got it to start. Now the red security light comes on after riding about ten miles and it wont go out till I stop and turn the key off and then it goes out for another ten miles and then comes on again. When it comes on the bike still runs good even with the light on. I dont know what to do as the manual doesnt say any thing about this problem. What do I do? Oh when I turn the key on and start the bike the security light goes out then it goes on for a few seconds and then it goes out.but comes back on after I ride it about ten miles

fixed it. Yoi will never guess what it was. Turms out the rear signal light on the right hand side was frayed by the tire rubbing on it.and the two wires shorted it out when I turned the signal on. Whoever wired the signal light let the wire touch the tire. I dont know how he shortened the wire but he did. What I did was extende the wire by about 3 inches and tucked it into the place it need to be tucked. All is working fine now.

That’ll do it. Glad you got it figured out fairly quick.
Electrical gremlins can be a real pain to diagnose sometimes.
