I have been doing a lot of searching in the forums. I am researching the information on a 1200c Sportster. I see responses on vibration and chatter and I find some debatable. The #1 response is it vibrates because it's a Harley.... Bull, of course the dealer says nothing is wrong. Harley does not manufacture a bike to vibrate beyond rider comfort. If it vibrates above the norm then there is a problem. Quit a few of us fall in that category. So, with that said lets not settle for less. Don't bother calling Harleys customer service. They are no help. Please don't tell me to buy a Honda. I know my bike is capable of performing properly. It has until recently. When you let of the gas and hear a clunking sound when you throttle up something is not right. Back firing andstop running on the road is another issue.I will not give up easily even after 3 trips to the dealer. thanks for letting me vent

Ok, we will consider this a rant. You don't list the year/model of your bike or the mileage. Modifications done if any or when the issue started or any specific details. I hope your communication with the dealer was a bit more clear.

I'll assume you have a Sportster, since this is in the Sportster forum. Consider this, you may not be a rubber mount motor kind of rider. This is why Harley makes a counter balanced motor in other models.
