Default Choice For A Second XL?

I love my 48! Nothing new there. But if I could, I wouldn't mind having an Iron 1200 to keep it company! To me, it's different enough from the 48 and I believe would be a kick to ride. And while I'm not particularly a fan of the AMF era, something about the tank logo appeals to me.

What would your choice for a second Sporty be??

A 1994 model to turn into a cafe racer, and paint it British Racing Green!

I do love the Roadster! My heart loves the riding position but my back is a definite no vote!

My chiropractor tried to get me off my motorcycle years ago. Bull! You ain't taking that away from me! I wear a back brace when my lower back hollers. Motorcycling is one of the few pleasures I am still able to enjoy.

Your other thread mentions a larger tank. Might be good to get a second Sporty with the larger tank.

I have an '11 Custom with the fat tires. Although my King get's more saddle time, the Sporty is great for the occasional long distance jaunt w/o stopping every 1/2 hour for gas. I've replaced the bars with a +2 up and +2 back for a more upright and relaxed sitting position. I also have mid-controls and hwy pegs in the forward position and a detachable windshield. This setup makes the longer haul much more comfy.

I'd probably go for a 48, to go with my '08 Low. I love the way the 48s look - I like the Irons too - but hate those teeny-tiny gas tanks. Out where I live I'd constantly be worried about running out of gas.

Pretty cool. Looks like a good time. I feel like that's a lot of faith for those 1/2" rear shock bolts.
