Air intake question?

Air intake question?
Ok the plastic on my intake is starting to seperate from the football shaped air cleaner....my question is, is there any other intake that wont increase the intake, yet is more durable...all i did to the bike was put some cycle shack slipons, but nothing else...and i dont want to remap or anything....thanks in advance...

Can you possibly post a pic? That sounds odd....as in odd it would do that and could be a sign of a bigger problem.
If it is starting to deform, you should certainly be able to have that replaced by your dealer. That's definitely not normal.

My bike did the exact same thing. It's an older model though, but the previous owner had drilled out the backing plate for more air intake. I figured that the drilling had warped the plate along with engine heat. I've got a new one on order, but their backordered. Go figure.
