Teek CONGRATULATIONS! Glad to see you got it before your trip. I like the color, very sharp!
A 1200 huh, I had you pegged as an 883 kinda guy. (No offense 883'ers, just bustin' Teek’schops a little.)

Congrats again, looking forward to reading about how much you love it!

SHINS!!! Come on Teek! I'm 5'9". Be realistic and aim for my ankles!

Yup, you're one of those PITA's TX guys I was referring to.

On a bike related note, it's gotta be killing you for it to be RIGHT outside... and you're at the 'puter. Be honest, how many times have you gone out to look at her?

Beautiful! I see you got the heated grips too.
Yeah, I was online at the HD site and saw them. A little pricey, but I figured, what the H*ll...it'll be easier to do it NOW, than when it's already cold out, and I'm ordering a bunch of other crap anyway. I like the way they operateand turn offwith the ignition switch, so as not to drain the battery. I turned'em on briefly just to see what they felt like, and they work on setting #3 with bare hands! I turned em off before they got a little too warm, though. I didn't want to play "hot potato" with the bars at 75mph! (hey, break in saysnot to exceed 4K rpm and vary the speed....I wasONLY following instructions!) I like the Chrome and rubber grips also...they feel pretty good to me. I'm thinking of getting the accompanying pegs for it, but I'll wait on those for now. I'm gonna get used to the bike first.

I need to get around to the grip and peg thing. I'll most likely replace them all at the same time.

If I remember and saw the price correctly, you can get both pegs and the matching shifter pegforabout a C-note. I don't think the matching brake cover fits, but I'm not sure.

Other mods on order are: Black engine guard, QD low profile windshield, black 11" Progressive 412s, side stand extention, black QD sissy bar mounts ( the docking hardware is what'son order), CHROME medium low sissy bar (I'll powdercoat it, if necessary...I just decided the height was more important than the finish), a Reach seat, and since I'm not into loud at all, SE Street Performance slip-ons, slash down. I'll probably use my existing throw-oversaddlebags I scavenged off the Honda...I'll just need to put something down over the fender to protect the paint.

I'm gonna have all that crap done while I'm overseas on vacation. It'll probably be about time to do the 1k service by then, too! And yes, I will have to pay for that separately.
