Gratz Teek!!!

I'm disappointed in myself...I've had it a whole 28 hours and only put 140 miles on it! First fill-up worked out to 42.7 mpg. They filled it before I took it home yesterday, but I seriously doubt they REALLY topped it off, like I did tonight! And no, I didn't spill any, and didn't notice any fuel dripping out of the vent hose, but I wasn't gonna get any more gas in the tank! That means the MPG is probably skewed a little. Still not bad for the first fill-up. The low fuel light came on at around 133 miles. Put 3.2 gal. in. Filled up about 3 or 4 miles down the road.

So, how was the ride? Is it everything you wanted it to be? Any MOD's you wished you had RIGHT NOW? (Like the seat!
)Congrats again Teek! I'm really happy for you!
And a windshield! At 70, my eyes start watering...at 75 they start burning a little. I'm usually varying my highway speeds between 55 and 70. Off the highway I'm just riding normally, staying with the flow of traffic. I have a Reach seat on order, and from what I gather, it's pretty comfortable, is 14" wide as opposed to the 12.5" stock width, and doesn't raise the ride height any. The Sundowner raises the rider up a little. The stock seat can actually be made more comfy by getting rid of that damn wedge where the bottom slopes downward, then abruptly rises in the back. It curves up too abruptly. Simply shaving the foam where it comes up in a more "ergonomic curvature" would help emmensely. A little firmmemory foam would probably make it even better! But I'm trying the Reach seat first. If I like it, I may even consider getting a Reach Solo.Oh, Chuck and Dan....you betcha! "Always garaged. Never seen rain!"
Let's see here....I park OUTSIDE in an UNCOVERED part of the lot (the darker pics is where I park it...same spot) and I think I stopped bothering to cover it in April? I'm gonna have to be more careful with the Harley, though...it's got a lot less plastic and aluminum on it, so it will rust a lot easier.Teek
