Congrats on the new ride. It looks great. So, did you go with the 1200 for the power or the extra gallon of gas?

I'm looking forward to seeing the new ride at the next ride. So, what major mods do you have on order? Curious minds want to know.

My criteria for my next bike (besides one that sat low enough for me to reach the ground) was....tubeless tires and cast wheelsfront and rear, fuel injection, more power than I had on the 750Shadow, 50ish MPG, large tank, manueverable, good commuter, capable of road trips, and fun to ride. That narrowed it down to pretty much ONE bike out of the entire damn market! The other choice was the Honda VTX 1300 Retro, but it doesn't have fuel injection. I decided on the Sportster 1200L ever since I rented one in Waco last spring. The seat sucked, the peg vibration sucked, but damn I didn't want to get off that thing! FYI, I haven't noticed any peg vibration on mybike yetand I've had it up to 75. I'm not going over that, as I'm still in the break-in period.

Mods on order are detachable black sissy bar hardware with medium low upright (it only comes in chrome, but it's the height I wanted), black 11" Progressive 412's, Reach Seat, HD QD LOW PROFILE windshield, and probably the saddlebags I scavenged off the Honda before it was appraised and traded in.

More pics to follow...need much better light!
