19" or 21" front wheel for 883
I was wondering the difference between a 19 and 21 for a frontwheel for a 883? I know its 2 inches . But does it change the height or does the 21 look nicer. Are the original front spoked wheel on a 2002 883 chrome? Can you have a mag wheel chromed? Thanks Dan

It depends on which model you get, I belive the XLC comes standard with a chrome spoke front wheel and the others come stock with a mag wheel, but I am not positive.
If it does change the height it would only rase it by 1" or so.
I had a '01 1200 C with a 21" laced wheel, and now I have a '07 1200 L with a 19" mag wheel. I can't tell a difference in the way it handles or anything. I think it just depends on the look you're wanting. On the Sportster I have now, I like the black mag wheel that's a little smaller. I can't really comment on the height of the bike because the model I have now is a Low model and the front is lowered. Both wheels look nice. It just depends on what overall look you're going for.
Due to the different tire size it doesn't change the height.
From my observations, the 21 inch wheel is probably a little more stable when you're doing a lot of straight line riding, like on the interstate. Due to having more rubber, the 19" inch is better for the twisties, and has much longer front tire life.
Also a mag wheel can carry a tubeless tire, and spoke wheels require an innertube.

I like the lower profile tire of the 21" wheel, and with the lower profile, a previous poster is right, the whole setup is about even. If and when I decide to put chrome/custom wheels on my 93, I'd go with a 21 front!
Boo 21. Yay 19.
I like the looks of 19 with mag the most.
Plus, it's much easier to clean a mag than 40 or so spokes.
And mags are tubeless, like was previously stated.
