Buy a complete set, torx and allen...cheaper in the long run. Lots of good deals on Ebay that include a small rachet that will fit in a tool roll.

Hold the torx's end of the bolt stationery and loosen the nut, with a 3/4 in open end wrench. I supose you could loose the shock bolt with the torx's but take a chance of slipping and F ing up the torx's.

Agree with Tom. The chrome on a lot of fasteners doesn't stand up too well. Always best to get to the nut on the other side, whatever the job. Let us know how the Progressives work out.

Found a set that goes to T-50 at Sears on sale $19.99 from $39.99. Turning the nut is good advice, don't think the top has a nut though, at least I can't see one.

I used a T55, semed to fit tighter than T50. Top bolt is into tapped fender strut, bottom has a nut on end. I got a 3/8 drive setof large bitsftom Advance for ten bucks or so. I have never seen such a variety of fasteners before.
