I had one of these on my Hayabusa... different then the HD option, but same concept~
I wouldrecommend this system to anyone lookin for that added security~ Nothin is gonna
stop someone that wantsyour bikebad enough~ It only takes a couple of big boys to pick it
right up and toss it in a van or truck~ The RoadLok, once engaged, does keep the wheel
from turning even 1/8th of an inch~ So pickin up the bike is the only option left for these
thievin bastids~ It makes it next to impossible to move around without pickin it up~ If
nothin else... it will give you that added time to get the safety turned off your weapon and
begin firin!
Take a look at the Xenon disk locks. They have a motion detector and an alarm built in. The alarm goes off if the bike is lifted off the kickstand which further deters theft and will remind you that its there should you forget it.
I see this product as more of a braking upgrade than security... I feel the best security lies in an actual alarm system, I use the HD alarm with remote paging system. It works well, and I believe in audible security. With that said if your looking to increase braking and security... it's a perfect fit. Just my $.02
