I'm replacing my stock license plate with a chrome lay down one. I notice there is a an extra hole now showing...does anyone have a suggestion of how to hide this??? Thanks!
Are you sure you bought the right mount. I have a lay down and it used all 3 holes. I'd retrun it and buy one that uses all 3 holes, that would be the easy solution.
It does use all three holes...but there is a a fourth hole (towards the bottom left of the bracket). That hole is typically covered by the stock bracket. I have know idea what it is for...just want to plug the hole.

Never seen anything like that grunt. I'd get a plug for it like anubusss suggested. Mine just bolted to the stock 3 holes. I didn't have a 4th in the fender.

I have lay-downs on the wife's '08 and my '07....they both have an extra hole showing as you described. Like was said, the dlr should have some type of black plastic plug that will fill the hole. I don't pay any attention to ours because they are not readily visible.
My chrome lay-down came with a black plastic plug to fill the extra hole.
Same here. Look through the package that your laydown plate holder came in and make sure you didn't overlook the black plastic plug.
Wait a minute.......come to think about it, the wife's bracket DID come with that plug.....AND I PUT IT IN! But it's gone now..........[sm=insomnia.gif]
