Rocker cover replacement
I finally got the top and inner chrome rocker covers.I'm keeping the spacers cause they are black.I've been looking for a gasket kit.I've found them at J&P cycles.http://www.jpcycles.com/catalog/2007...alog/0572.html.I've also found them on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m29. It says they are made of rubber.Is this OK? I don't know if rubber is a good idea for those gaskets.Will these work alright? Thanks for any help.

when i tore mine apart earlier this year the rocker cover gaskets were rubber from the factory. They sit in a groove. Use some petrolium jelly to hole them in place to ease installation.

I'm refurbishing a set of '00 rocker boxes right now.I'm painting the covers and lowers satin black with a polished center.I'm running the black-polished-black on my '90 Sporty now.Love that look.Anyway,the gaskets are rubber.Not sure if there is anythingelsebut rubber for the boxes.I could be wrong but I don't think I've ever seen any other type.So yes,rubber is fine
