I agree I have a bit of a sore throat today from riding Friday. I need to use my full face helmut and be done with it. I have never worn chaps but I am going to look into getting some.
Me and 3 others went on a 175 mile ride yesterday with the temps in the mid 40s. The 2 guys on the 97 Heritage and the 03 Superglide both had windshields while me and the guy on the 07 Sporty did not.
That neoprene mask helped a ton plus I bought a fleece neck warmer that also helped. My fingers were still a little chilly though.
Anything down to 0C is good but what stops me riding here in the UK is when they salt the roads. There is no way I am taking my baby out in those conditions...........
31 this morning.. of course no moisture, no ice... I rode one morning years ago... 8 degrees. Again, no moisture, no ice.... If dressed properly its no problem...
Left for work at 0400 this morning. 27 degrees and dropping! 50 mile trip each way. I worry more about thecritters and the bridges over the rivers freezing than the cold! Trip home will be in the 40's. That makes it worth it to me! I can tell when it's under 30 degrees by my fingertips. Thank god for those warm jugs!
