Where do you guys put your guns when you carry and ride?
I have been keeping mine in my fanny pack which goes into one of my saddle bags. Problem is if I NEED it I can't get to it quickly.
I'd put it on my belt, but it sticks out of the bottom of my jacket. Also, I was told by local LEO that "concealed" means just that, it shouldn't be visible.
I keep mine in the gun shop, don't have one, were are you riding in the old west? You might want to rethink your travel routes.
Actually I carry for my personal safety. I spend a lot of time, due to duties with the local astronomical society, out after dark and when traveling to and from functions I'm alone... a lot. I hope to never have to USE it, but if the situation arises... I will. Without hesitation.
I work in the legal field and know a lot of LEOs here locally and they actually recommended that I make the purchase.
I usually carry in an IWB (inside waist band) holster in the summer and covered with an untucked shirt. In cooler months, in a vest or jacket inner pocket.
The bigger problem is where to put it if you stop at a bar where law requires it to be left on the bike securely.

That can be a problem. Here the only places we CAN'T carry is a bar, or place where the serve or sell alcohol, a school (unless you're picking up your own child), or the Courthouse/Jail.
I don't stop in any place that sells alcohol so for me that's not an issue. If I did I'd have to get locking bags of somesort just to be safe.
I'm so worried about mine being messed with that I actually lock it in the safe here at the office if I have to go to the courthouse for anything... you never know when a client is going to come in with a kid who could go through drawers and get into purses...
