I thought it was foul. Riding a motorcycle is inherently unsafe. You said it. To me this is the same thing as stopping to help
a downed hurt rider dressed fully out and say "you OK? Ahhhh just a little blood and pain. Thats what you get for riding a motorcycle! MORON".

I dont seethe difference. If you stopped to HELP, help. Schooling and namecalling damned sure aint helping...
It sucks enuff without having your mom or thirdgrade teacher show up with her lecture. I saw SOOO much dumb crap as a
EMT/FIREFIGHTER I dont think I ever once told someone how stupid they werewhile they were suffering.
Like Whaap said I would rather you ride on by.

If you cant see that maybe you're looking the wrong way...

I see gguys on sport bikes all the time here in SoCal wearing shorts and tennis shoes, or saomething equally ludicrous. It's really hard to muster up any sympathy for them when they hurt themselves through their own unwise choices.

Riding motorcycles is just inherently unsafe. And I say this as someone who doesn't ride particularly conservatively or safely. If you increase that risk by choice, then you only have yourself to blame.

This is a case where a motorcyclist made the wrong choices. The original poster stopped, and checked to ensure that a fellow member of the fraternity had been taken care of.

As far as I can tell, there's no harm, no foul.

Well i did stop to help, once i saw all was OK, and he was a bit of an ***, i told him what i thought, and i tell everyone what i think. If he had not had help on the way, I would have done something to help. It was ably a little way from my house, so, i could have went and got my truck or what ever, hwe did not however need that.

I'da probably stopped, checked him out, said "ouch, probably wouldn't happened if you had on boots with them shorts" and maybe got a laugh, and then laughed when he winced with pain
Actually, if it was an older guy I'd been a bit more concerned cause they don't heal as fast and well, but the youngsters, it'll go away, and they can party while they're hobbling around:}

Yeah, I would do something similar. Definitely stop and check to see if the guy was OK. And I would be tempted to say something about the utter stupidity of wearing flip-flops. But my style would be more to tone it down in a comment like "gonna need to get you some boots after this". Straight forward, but not judgmental. Just plant the idea in the dude's head.

I came across one of these knot heads a few months ago. I was two lanes over and was not able to give him a piece of my mind due to traffic. I prolly would have said something along tthe lines of behaviour like that is what drives up our insurance rates ad causes uneeded legislation to mess it it up for everyone else. It is obvious these rocks need to get some remedial training like mandantory MSF courses to get thier licences.
