Good luck!
You can gain or lose hp with any engine's ignition timing curve. Thats nothing new, I doubt NRHS found out that on "accident". It all depends on how well the ignition map is dialed into the engine on hand. Daytona Twin tecs TC88A modle is nice and a good buy for the money but if Im going to be doing an all out performance build with a carbureted motor I would choose S&S's IST ignition as a first choice. It is hands down the best iginition module on the market. Its $$$, but worth every penny. It adjusts your ignition on the fly for best possible performance without pinging the engine. So if you ever change parts, load on the bike(like 2up riding), even gas octane, it will change the timing for optimal performance. No tinkering around needed. I used to run a DTT TC88A module, and it worked well, but I was contantly tinkering with the ignition map depedning on how I was using the bike, then I switched over to the IST, and it was a big upgrade.

Hey WarriorHD - any sources for the S&S IST for 04+ Sportys? I was familiar with S&S but then couldn't find anything more. I'd like to look into it myself! Thanks...
I had found an online write up about a month ago and book marked the page on my old laptop which is now crapping out on me. Im going to try to pull some stuff off that laptop this weekend so if I get into it, I will grab the link for you. If not, I will search around...I know there is some info out there on the S&S ignition.
