Default Bittersweet....

So, when I bought my Sporty my wife had no intentions of riding with me, that was 2 months ago. Within the last week or so she's shown a desire to get her own bike, which I'm am all for. Then out of the blue yesterday she informs me that I need a more suitable bike for 2 up so she can ride now, and we'll worry about a bike for her down the road. So we spent the better part of the day at the dealer, and we came home with an '08 Street Bob, best of both worlds if you will. I tried talking her into keeping my N for herself since she wants her own and getting something for me, but she said nope, trade it in and get the Bob.......so what this all means is I'm a pretty damn lucky guy and have the greatest wife in the universe. It also means I'm no longer a Sporty owner and will not frequent this portion of the site as often.

Thanks for all the help and advice you all have given me in my short time here, I'm sure I'll stop in now in then to ask......"Isn't a sporty a beginners bike for girls??" I kid, I kid, I'd never say that, I loved my Sporty and will miss it.

Enjoy the new bike, and it sounds like your wife is a 'keeper'...

Sorry so see you go, enjoy the Bob, they are a great bike.
My wife has gone with me twice and doesn't really like it and that's fine with me, I like riding alone the best, I guess with three kids at home and a load of people at work pestering me my riding time is my time and no one elses.

Sorry to see you leave the sporty world but sounds like at least you're moving her on the way to being on her own bike. congrats!

Congratulations. My wife won't ride with me but like Hotlap said it is fine with me as I like the time to myself. Besides if she did ride with me I would have to go get another seat. [&:]
