I have a 96 1200 Sport. I'm too new to them to know if they have anything special about 'em. Every year is different to some extent. Just pay attention to it and get a manual that covers your year. Take care of it and it'll take care of you. Welcome to the family.

Welcome from Metro Milwaukee WI!
The 1200S is a cool bike. It has a bit more HP/TQ (not exactly sure how much) than the standard 1200 engine of it's year, the engine is a strange combo with natural finish and black finish and polished aluminum side covers and rocker boxes, cast wheels, 19" front tire, it sits a bit taller than the custom and has fully adjustable suspension. It comes stock with a tack and speedo andwas introduced in 1996 as a first year production model much like the 1200C. I am not sure how long it ran before the MOCO canned it and replaced it with the roadster. I'm guessing '03 was the last year? Anyone? anyone?
My buddy Focker has a 96 1200S. It is a super cool bike! Thing seems to float down the road compared to my custom.
Largo is a nice area! My mother lives there. The ol'lady and I were just down there in September. Had to make a stop at Fletchers and of course PJ's for some seafood!
Send some of that warmth here! It's 9 degrees and dropping. [:@]We'd welcome it!
