I need some serious advice on installing aV & H Fuel Pack on my 07 Sporty. I'm ready to stick this thing up somebody's a$$ right about now. The help video on the website makes it look soooo easy! That's a crock of $hit. I've been trying to get it installed for 3 hrs now and there just isn't enough room for it to fit. PLEASE GIVEME SOME POINTERS IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS INSTALL!!I'll be checking on this post every half hour. All advice is welcomed. Thanx peeps.
I agree, its a ****.... I installed mine but it took rerouting some of the wires to allow the FP to fit under the frame tube above the battery. Was still VERY tight. I wish I could offer you more insite. I too spent an agravating couple of hours... Took a break, drank a couple of beers and went back to it... somehow I managed to move the wiring just right and it fit... But it was TIGHT!!!
Be patient. Once in its worth it... works as promised..
its a very tight fit between top of battery and frame tube,i had to move around some wiring abit to make it fit.also disconnect ground
cable from engine and slide battery in and out but it will fit
It comes with a new tray to replace the one that holds the factory ECM....The tray is deeper and the PCIII mounts under the ECM it a fitted pocket.....It takes 20 minutes total to install and load fuel map, then go hit the road.
I had a indy shop install mine. I'll take pic and upload it so u get an idea where the tech put mine. Mine isn't under the seat but rather overtot he left side with the ecm. Was like $170 just for labor but I had to input the program myself. Inputing the program was easy part.
I got SE AC, V&H race tuner, and D&D slipons.
Dude,
Sorry for your pain, but your post made melaugh so hard ithurt!
Again, sorry.
I haven't had the pleasure of trying such. I hope my karma doesn't snap back on me too hard for laughing.
I wish you the best of luck.
Okay, I've calmed down now and I'm ready to go back out to the garage and into the trenches. I guess patience is the word for the day. I'll keep everyone posted. All tips and pointers are still welcomed. Thanks guys (and gals).
