I was hoping you guys could help me decide on 1 of 3 possible mods. There is nothing big, but I have a gift certificate for a dealer and some birthday money im willing to throw into the bike. I have an 08 1200C vivid black. So pick one of the following 3 based on how much better it will make the bike look and ease of install.
Isort of have all three you mentioned. Went with the chrome switches instead of the housing, then the skull grips then the black tail light. I like the tail light the best.
close call on all of them..i think i would start with the chrome switch housings..they are a bit of a bugger to install but they always look good..if it wasnt a gift card you could get them for half that price from jp cycles or dennis kirk..then i would do the grips right after..
two posts, two different answers lol. I think im leaning toward something on the handlebars though, because the tailight will look weird being black, w/out smoked or dark lenses on the turn signals.
on another note, ace of spades i love the color of bike
Yes. laydowns are nice, I am mot sure you get a great effect with the black on black, but maybe that is even better matching the theme. Your call. Chrome on black always stands out. My reccolection thos swithces were relativly cheap, like 13 bucks or so? And even less in the catalogs. They can be tricky but not real tough and look good. However, you may want to think if you are going to get some chrome housings some day as most people are keeping the black buttons for the contrast. I have seen chrome housings and chrome buttons but do not like the lack of contrast. To each his own. If you think about the chrome housings, consider non harley off ebay as they are much more economical. I think you wil like your grips the best. You see them most, you handle them all the time, I understand they are more comfortable. If you go withthe taillight, it is just a bit more to invest in the smoke turn lenses to match. again, go online. My vote: grips first.
thanks for the input again, but i agree about the switche's and the contrast. Thats why on the link i posted above it's just the housings, not the switches too[8D]
Hey tag, I do not have a metal finishing background, how do you go about that. Actually, I was thinkiing about polishing my brake discs. Do you know how to do that?
