I pulled the straps out and joined them together, then (after marking the riser) I put self adhesive felt pds on the back of the strap where it touches the riser. Then wrap the straps around the riser and do it up at the back of the riser.
You will probably need to punch a few extra holes to get it tight enough so it doesnt slip around.
I was at a bike show a couple of weeks ago and saw several bikes with the bag attached to the left side swingarm.Didn't look real close to see how they were mounted, but it will get it off the front of the bike. Just another option.
