I have seen one, it had floorboards and welded a heel shift on it, looked and worked good

first bike i rode with a floorboards and heel-toe shifting was a kawasaki vulcan from my friend a few weeks ago

the floorboard felt nice, the heel shifter was spaced far enough from the toe shifter that my foot fit in between and i could use the tow for up/down shifting. and i have size 13 shoes

i wouldnt put it on a sporty unless im doing a total bobber thing with it. i like them though

If you pursue this, keep us updated...I'd love to know how it works out....and BTW...it CAN be done....you'd need to modify your shaft, and I think it'd be hard with forwards, but it's possible....I've seen it quite a few times.

I'd also like to have heal toe shifter, if you come across one that will work with mid-mount pegs. I just don't see how there is gonna be room there. But it sure would be nice. Previous bikes I have owned had heel toe, and I liked it. Plus, I'm getting tired of wearing out the top of my left boots where the shifter peg hits the boot.

I don't think you would need floorboards. I had a '68 Yamaha that had heel-toe shifter and just a footpeg, backwhen the shift pattern was 4-down.Pegs didn't fold up either, used to drag them in turns and pivot.

Been thinking about it myself. Somehowcarve an aluminum plate, half inch or so thick, put a hole for the footpeg pivot (perhaps a plane bearing), screw a shif peg in at the back for the heel and somehow screw the front in with the regular shifter. Once the geometry is resolved, perhaps carve the entire shifter (minus pegs) out of billet.

Good luck and keep posting
