ALWAYS....always always ALWAYS.....use everything. Unless it's obvious or has multi-fit pieces that span several models, you always use every last nut and bolt and install parts as directed.
If that thing is expensive as it looks, I'd be makin damn sure it didn't go nowhere by using the part engineered to keep it on.
Just my 2 cents.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure it'll install in all the same places, or damn close, so just use the instructions for the install, they will help you locate all the points of install. If you need to, locate a diagram in your service manual to reference breathers and stuff....should go in without a problem.

yeah that is what i felt too, but it did not come with it, i had to but one separate today. it just pisses me off that they do not tell you at any point that it is necessary. I am still not too sure where the hose or the little filter goes
the breather filter i got with the kit only has one port, and there are no Hosw connectors. I hope i do not need to have HD do this, i even jetted the carb by myself.
don't waist your time with all those hoses hanging on your scoot. Go to e-bay, ( i know ) and search for a carb mount. should have some there and they work much better, they are chrome too. they route the oil mist back to the front of the carb just like the screaming eagle heave breather does. This makes a much cleaner install in my opinion. ( i know, we all have them )

The purpose of a carb., or EFI for that matter, is to mix fuel and air and feed it to the engine. Neither was designed to mix air, fuel & oil. The whole purpose of the bypass kit is to get the oil OUT of the carb/EFI where it does not belong. The only reason the MOCO did it in the first place was to meet EPG regs. Oil in the intake only contributes to fouled plugs and carbon buildup in the motor.
