It really depends on how you work your throtle.
I've gone into campgrounds with both SE slip ons & a Thunderheader and not woken up anybody. When I do I'm working the clutch and barely using throtle.
I wanted a low rumble tone so I went with the SE Slip ons, plus the SE A/C and the remap. If you just do the SE pipes by themselves you will get a nice bass tone, but to notice an improvement in performance you've got to do the remap too.
I got to hear the Rush Slip-ons on a Nightster at the dealership and they sound GREAT, but were mucho louder. Not as loud as V&H Straightshots, but still pretty loud.
Yeah I got the Rush slipons for my 1200C and quiet they are NOT. But the loudness is somehow not abrasive. It's nice and mellow depending on how you work the throttle.
