Default drag specialties mini tach

anyone ever install it? the instructions i got are printed on a sticker and stuck to the side of the tach body. the pictures i see online show alot of wires inside a sleeve. the one i got has 2 single wires... a red and a black wire..

how do i mount this thing? the instructions mention a green and blue and others and im confused

im pretty sure i ordered the right one.

this thing also has some kind of connection on the back, it looks like my speedometer drive connector...

help me please?

joe they make 2 diff style tachs a electronic and a cable driven, it sounds like you have yourself a cable driven... i do not have much experiance with those i usually just tap into the electrical with an electronic tach.... i know this was not much of a help but if i was you i would see if i could send that back for hte electronic...they are easy to hook up... i know i have a bob... here is how i did mine...

Just guessing here but with only 2 wires, red & black, I would think those would be for the gauge illumination bulb. (power & ground) Does the back of the gauge have a connector for a mechanical drive cable? An electronic tach should have 4 or 5 wires.

I have the electronic Drah Specialties on mine. Some idiot connected the green wire right but connected the tach power to the lights so it only works with the lights on... I gotta fix that
