Default Battery Question

Would discharged or charged below 50% battery make the engine turn but not start up?
I've installed new handle bars, grips, controls wiring - all electrical systems work fine (turn signals, lights, brake lights, etc), but the bike won't start. It turns, but doesn't start. I have about a gallon of gas, fuel pump makes the sound, but that's it. The bike was sitting in the garage without battery tender for a few months, so I'm hoping that it's the battery.

what do you think?

Are the plugs wet ?

You really aren't supposed to do this ? a lot , but starter fluid.

If if starts with that after a squirt your fuel is plugged somewhere .

I'll try that as a last resourt. I'm still leaning toward "discharged battery". I rode the bike back in the beginning of December once, and after that it was sitting in the garage. Look like I'm off to buying a battery tender in the morning...

any 2 amp charger will work to charge the battery back up. The tender will be good afterwards to keep the battery charged during periods of storage

so the tender doesn't actually charge it? it just keeps it alive?

im pretty sure a tender will charge it eventually, depends on what type of tender you get. Some also have a 10 amp setting to charge quicker.

Default RE: Battery Question

It wasn't a battery... replaced spark plugs and started up perfectly. Weird that I had to change spark plugs on a bike that's about 8 months old
