or is it bran new? Anyway. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is John, and I'm looking forward to getting a 06 Black Pearl 883 Custom. This will be my 3rd bike. #1 was a 98 Kawi Vulcan 500 Classic, #2 was a 01 Black 883 Custom. #2 had a ton of chrome, 1200 kit, Hyperblingcharger, Glowjobs, and SE slip-ons, and blah, blah, blah.
I'm looking for some experienced advise as I'm getting ready to start the mods. 1200 kit - What's the best way to get it done? Dealer or Custom shop? I'm mechanically inclined and will mess with anything on a car EXCEPT the motor. Do you think I should try this one or let a pro do it?
Second question is am I better off with a White Bro's lowering kit or the 11" Progressive Lowering Springs? How much more (results) is one over the other?
I've had some fun going back through the last few months posts - you all seem like a great bunch. Look forward to hanging out here. I'm normally over on a couple of Mustang websites.
Welcome to the Forum, glad to see you checked out some of the past post. Progressive seems to be the shock of choice around here. I do not have them but several do and they brag on them. looking ofrward to some pics, incase you hadn't noticed...[sm=ttiwwp.gif]
no pics... Don't have the bike yet... they're doing a Dealer locate and hoping to get it here soon. I probably won't have it right away as I'm planning on doing the 1200 conversion before I take it home. I'll look through my computer and see if I can find a pic of my old sporty.
