I know this topic has been talked about before, so sorry in advance. Does anyone know of a good bank to get financing for a bike if your credit is mediocore? I have been pondering this for a little bit. I already have $1000.00 down and have got another $2000.00 to give for a down payment but I still need to finance the rest. I know some of you will say keep saving, but for me thats not an option. Any help would be appreciated. (trying to avoid HD financing).
With less than good to excellentcredit, and the ability to simply get a demand note from your bank, Harley financing is not going to be much worse (if at all) than any other source available to you.
If you belong to a credit union that MIGHT beyour onlybetter bet.
capital one auto finance is great!! their rates are competitive with banks, better than most... you apply online for a set amount. you'll be approved for a set amount. they will send you blank check to use. you decide beforehand if you want to purchase from dealer or individual.. my tahoe and silverado is financed with them... you do the online application then they will contact you by phone in a very few minutes to finalize everything!!!!!!!!!
nice being approved ahead of time.. gives you more leverage to find exactly what you want at the best price........
if you give them a try? let me know how it works out... if you have any more questions feel free to contact me.......
good luck
with the money your paying down. should be real easy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you can't find better terms at your own back/CU, then why not finance through HD? It's a pretty square deal. Just pay it off aggressively before you start to see the interest work against you.
