Default wiring bars internally...

Thinking about getting some awesome Frisco bars from Biltwell. The problem is that they are not dimpled so I would have to drill them out to run them internally. I would make the first hole just inside of the assembly I would think, question is, where should they exit? In the bottom or out the back at the bottom?

Thanks.

Right on the bottom....and when you do it, make either 2 separate 1/2" holes or one 1/2"x1" hole. You can use a dremel with a grinding/cutting wheel to make the 1/2"x1" after you punch it in with the drill.

The 2 separate holes look cleaner and if done correctly are more reliable as they don't let anything move around alot. Rubber gromets from autozone or checker are also a good idea because they'll keep the inside edges from cutting into the wires and causing shorts.

So I put the two holes at the bottom between the risers?

Yep. And you're probably gonna need a good hammer drill...use a couple smaller bits as pilots to keep it clean, and take your time or you'll lock the bit up.

Thanks for the advice 6o66er. I will probably use my mill/drill press at work.
