Speedometer problem

Speedometer problem
My fiance has a 96 883 the speedometer will work sometimes then quits,I know the last owner changed the speedsensor. Does anyone know what else what may cause it to act this way? Thanks

Well, it's pretty obvious....either check you instrument fuse (2nd to last 15 A, I believe), make sure the speedo connector/wires are routed without pinches, breaks, burns, etc., or make sure the last owner didn't **** up the wiring.
