Yes i bought a custom wheel for my sportster 1200 C . I currently have a 21" spoke. I am changing it to 19" with a 100 series tire. Will this tire and wheel fit my bike with out fender change? I all ready got the whell kit from Harley. They said it would fit with out Change
Yeh, it will fit.....but your fender may sit a bit high
Actually, I believe the overall height of both tire/rim combos are almost identical. The fender should clear just about as it is with the 21"r. The 21" has a larger diameter rim, but almost no sidwall on the tire. The 19" rim is smaller in diameter, but the tire has the extra sidewall which balances out the size diference between the 19" & 21".
I did the same thing and everything fit fine. The only problem I had is that the axle spacers are different and the ones supplied in the wheel kit did not fit. It took a bit of trial & error with an assortment of spacers to get the correct combination.
Unlike he 21" wheel, with the 19" and fatter tire you do need to unbolt the fender and move it out of the way to get the 19" wheel on & off.
