So, I'm getting ready for my first group ride tomorrow with about 9 other bikes down the California coast (about a four hour ride) and I guess I'm a little more anxious than I'd like to admit, cuz I woke up this morning with the MOST stiff neck I've had in forever!!! Typical, right?, cuz this is only going to make me more anxious, now I'm afraid I wont be able to head check to the right with out pain shooting up my neck!!!! If you knew me this would be funny (although I never stress outwardly) I guess my body suffers for it! Well, the bright side IS I'll just have to get a massage today, right?
You made me laugh - thanks!
My scoot is my massage therapist.
Just a heads up for the ladies .. (guys you can quit reading here) when you get that headache .. you know the one, comes along with bloating etc... jump on the bike for about an hour. Everything goes away, and all is well with the World again.
One thing I had to tell myself when I first started on the bike again - "quit trying to drive the damb thing, and ride". Just relax... you will have a blast! Good luck again.
pop some pills and you should be allright. try to stay up front in the packif possible.
Ummm, I'd disregard that advice. Your buddies riding with you probably wouldn't approve of someone in front of them "popping pills". (unless he is saying take someting the "night before" to get a good rest????)
The massage idea sounds much better.
Once you get out on the road, and get going, the fun of the ride will probably overcome any neck pain anyway.
MMMMM....sounds like you may need just some plain old TALK THERAPY......I suggest you come over, sit on my lap, and we'll discuss the first thing thatPOPS UP......if not , just take some asperin.BINNY
