I just bought a new 08 sportster and I have a new seat, rear foot pegs kit and a fork mount tool pouch.
I was just about to put on the foot pegs and noticed Harley has hexagon bolts all over the bike. The rear peg bolts have this too.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Given this hex head bolt situation all over the bike, what is the best tools toput in my toolkit pouch?
2. I noticed a small clearance from the exhaust pipe and mounting the bottom bolt on the rear foot peg right side. Any problem getting to that bolt ?
What size is that hex nut ?
Im going to hardware store after I get some info here.
All I have in my fork pouch is a cell phone, extra smokes (if you smoke), condoms, earplugs, and a multi-purpose Gerber tool. Then there's also my cash and credit card in my wallet. My thought process is that if something breaks while riding, I'm mostlikely not going to have the spare parts to fix it anyway, so I'll get the tools when I grab the parts...
