Default 1200L ride

Hey all of you 1200L owners, what is the ride like on that lowered thang? Do you have to get a new seat to make it comfortable? Just curious

I'm 6' and I have the 1200L & Love it!!!

I put a Mustang solo seat on it which seemed to lower it a bit more than stock and I can ride all day on that thing. I like the low to the ground feeling, just be careful because its real easy to scrape the exhaust if you put aftermarkets on.

Most everyone agrees the stock seat needs to go. Many have the sundowner, which makes it much more comfortable. Mines a daily rider and it aint wore me out yet.

06' 1200L with HD brawler solo seat, feet flat on the ground, smooth ride, I don't even bother lowering it. By the way, I am 5'9"

As 128auto says, I am 5'9 also and feet flat on the ground. I have the Sundowner which to me is a fantastic seat. It made all the difference in the world as to the stock seat. Very comfortable and a smooth ride.

Don't even throw your money away on having gel put in the stock seat. [:'(]It only makes a 20 mile seat into a 100 mile seat. Save your money and buy a Badlander seat

Comfort, ride, expectations and use are relative things. I'm 5'3, have a 26" inseam, with 28" leg length. I have my Low lowered! I have a Reach two up seat with Progressive 11" shocks. Way better than stock. Rides and handles pretty good, imo, and my feet are flat on the ground. The Reach seat is because I ride a lot, and tend to spend hours at a time in the saddle on highways, and didn't want a seat that put me back from the forward controls any and was pretty reasonably priced. It's the perfectbike for me right now. Low, nimble, quick, reliable, decent fuel economy (not great, though), not too heavy, and just a great all around bike!

The Mustang seat has certainly helped. (Just my 2 cents-I tried a Badlander and thought it was as bad as the stock seat.) But what has really helped was the Avon Venom tires that I just put on it a couple weeks ago. Feels like I have a new bike! The ride is MUCH smoother. No more rattling gas cap either.
