Default how???baffles

Hey maybe this is a stupid question but as much searching as I've done I can find nothing. I'm looking at pulling the stock baffles out of my 2003 883. I know some of you have done this but I've found mostly opinion and nothing in the way of actual instruction on how. Part of it could be misunderstanding on my part. To the best of my knowledge the baffle is on the inside of the "slip on" but it doesn't look removable period. Anybody got a how to or know of one?? I'm just not digging my sound but I'm far too broke to buy some slip ons. Thanks EBS

Are they actually the stock mufflers or aftermarket slip-ons? Aftermarkets should have a screw on the bottom of the slip-onholding them in place......Stockers need the blocker plate knocked or drill out.

****Warning though, some people are going to tell you that you'll loose lower end power, which you may...Mine was the opposite, as knocking the plate out of the stockers made it run perfect, (as I had some hesitation/hiccup issues before knocking them out & it was gone after knocking them out).

i hope knocking out the baffles work for you, but be warned about 6/10 people who have done it, decided it wasnt a good idea and get slipons later

well to the best of my knowledge if it doesn't work out I can just weld it back into place. No harm no foul. Thanks for the info guys.

6/10 people don't do it right. You have to use a hole saw that fits the inside diameter of your pipes. Most idiots try to knock them out or drill them out... baaad idea.
