It happens. with the 883 gearing, as long as you're not needing to take off quickly, or uphill, it's not a big deal. 1200, different story I suspect.

Havent done it yet.... I have hit neutral a couple of times while accelerating though haha....Im not sure which sounds dumber...

Not me...I'm always in Neutral at a stop...ALWAYS. But then again...I try and make it a point to never have to come to a complete stop when I ride to work and back...I creep til the light turns green.

I've seen my sis do this though. It's no biggie...just don't be in a hurry and kick it into first with all that extra throttle...ya might crap your pants when the front wheel comes up .

+1 All my riding is either on the freeway backroads and maybe 2 or 3 lights..so I try and creep around those suckers if I can.
