I replaced speedo sensor and still have no speedo, I have blacklight and turn sig. but they do not turn off \\;I have to turn them off. any help or info on this I would be greatful, I HAVE A 2001 1200C
Not familiar with wiring schem. on an 01 but you might pull the plug under the tank for the speedo \\;and look for any corrosion o the connector pins/sockets \\;causing poor contact or a bad ground connection.
After having looked at a wiring diagram for your bike...the speed output in the speedo is wired to the vss in the turn signal module...searched vss and found this post...sounds similar...

Ahh!.....after re-reading your post.....guess you've already done this....sorry.[&:]
Hi kensporty i hope you dont think im crazy for this suggestion i dont know what kind of spark plug wires you have but my dad had the same problem with his sporty. He changed the speed sensor and had the same problem he had those steel braided plug wires on his the dealer told him that those plug wires create interference with the speed sensor. So he put the stock spark plug wires back on it and now everything works perfect that was a new one on me but sure enough that was the problem.I dont know if this applies to your bike but i hope maybe it helps you out.
I've had a quick look, and the codes you mention...do2=speed sensor output shorted high or open......do5=speed sensor return high......haven't found ppu yet......make of It what you will......good luck.
