Dawn and I and a couple other folks are heading out tomarrow afternoon, set up camp &\\; chill Friday night &\\; then get \\;our party on Saturday &\\; \\;head home Sunday.[8D] \\;Just got back from Scotts putting my front fender/chain guard/sissybar/couch(Sundowner) on.
well, a little water logged, but still had a GREAT time. It was alot more tame, than I thought it was going to be. Did you hear about the guy who rode off the bridge? I heard about it this morning, but didn't see anything for sure. Very sad, if true. Highlights of the weekend were definitely the incline and the flight 93 memorial.
Where did you stay? We were out in Ebensburgh at the state fairground ABATE campground.Friday night we hit a bar maybe a mile away from the campground then went back and Scott's women won the Wet T-shirt contest there.Dawn got blasted, she was a passenger and started before we left[8D]Saturday we rode downtown as everything opened up and checked out the scene. Scott &\\;\\\\\\; Jamie had a family reunion about an hour away to do a drive by on then so Dawn &\\;\\\\\\; I walked around downtown, checked the parade out.We rode back to the campground &\\;\\\\\\; checked it out for a bit &\\;\\\\\\; then met Scott &\\;\\\\\\; Jamie at Scooters for a while and then hit the greenfield? ABATE park right down the road and watched the barrel races &\\;\\\\\\; golf ball/cone game then cruised back to our spot to check out the band and party a little \\;\\\\\\;I have to buy the adapter for a new phones but will post some pics tomarrow hopefully. No pics of the wet T contests since Dawn thought it would be cool for me to take pics with jamie on the stage[&:]
All day Saturday I wore a shirt Dawn made at work for me for x-mas.Big HD ensignia \\;on the back with twisty in big flame letters across the back.Noone knew me
Went Saturday and the ride back to Martinsburg turned out to be " Thunder, Lightning &\\; Wind in the Valley " \\;! Rt. 68 got wet and wild on and off . \\;Crossed the I-81 bridge into Wv and all hell broke loose from the sky. Sporster went threw it with no problem ..............WVleo
we stayed in Altoona, which made it even crazier because it wasn't exactly a short ride in the rain. Although the only "heavy" rain we rode in was on the turnpike just before our exit. I have an exposed filter element, but was pleasantly surprised that the sporty kept going...Somebody told me about the campgrounds, but we never made it out, sounds like that is where the action was...(my wife made me promise no wet-t contests anyway...) We made it back to Altoona Sat. night just before the sky opened up. Weather man predicted an 80% chance of armegeddon, so I guess all in all it was a decent weekend. Long ride back to Reading though on Sunday was dry and beautiful! I will be going again next year for sure! Rain or shine!!! Real bikers don't mind a little rain....right?
