Guys,
 \\;
I've been riding with \\;other guys with newer, bigger bikes and i realize that i struggle a little bit to catch up with them...not really actually,i just don't want push the engine too much.
 \\;
So what's the ideal cruising speed in the open road for sportster? \\; Does it make a lot of improvement if i install SE coil and ignition module?

Need some more 411 man. \\; What size engine, year model...etc etc. \\; Sporty can hang with anything out there, except the sportbikes that fly down the road at 150 mph.
Generally speaking, between 60 and 70 for me with my 06 883. I can and, have cruised for long periods at 70 to 80. As long as the bike is not showing signs of laboring, you feel in control and the roads and weather conditions are favorable, the sportster can do it.
Hi, I usally cruise on the Interstates around here between 75-80MPH ( 06 1200 C ) . No problems with vibrations or power . This bike is a very comfortable ride. ....WVleo

If you've been riding for 15-20 min your engine should be warm enough to wind up to 6k rpm.
I normally leave my big twin friends behind untill I slow down between 90-100 mph.
I ride the highway quite a bit on my 08 883C. No problem running with bigger bikes. Rode from Dayton, OH to Louisville, KY, \\;with 2 BMW touring bikes. Two hours at 85-90+. A bit fast, I admit, but the bike was fine. I was actually surprised at how nice it felt at those speeds. I cruise at 70+ alot.
