Default Anyone ridden up Mt. Washington on bike?

Id love to do it next week on our trip, but I think Im chicken to ride my own. I told hubby maybe I would do the passenger thing on the back of his if he wanted to go up, but hes not sure HE wants to try it with a passenger.&nbsp\\; Any comment, input, suggestions?

Just ride slowly, whenever you ride a new road, take your time, that's all I can suggest.

slow and easy on any new road is the best advice. You might be missing a fun ride and a great view if yall dont do it.

honestly Ive done it 3 times seeing that my parents live right there. It is really f ing cool but it is terrible on the brakes not to mention the engine if you engine brake some of it. Its not scary unless you do it in a car cause the road is only big enough for one car and you will meet up with opposing traffic.

I've done it, its pretty cool, I for one would rather ride my own then ride on the back. I think it would be scarier on the back. Its not a matter of just going slow because you have to anyway, it gets a little "hairy" when you have to pass a car or van on the way down because there are no guide rails.&nbsp\\;

I did it on a bicycle four years ago (road bike). Yeah, it was tough on the engine (me!), and tough on the brakes. No, I didn't take a passenger.

My wife and I did it years ago, while touring new england on a 750 honda nighthawk, lots of fun when your behind an old couple, slowing down to take pictures, and your sliping the clutch trying to keep moving forward, but it was worth the trip. Heads up, its usually cold up on the top, have fun!

I've been up a bunch of times on the bike, in the car and in the vans. My favorite is the bike. The road is narrow, but on the bike that doesn't matter as much 'cause you don't need as much room. The views are amazing and with no restrictions they're even better. Bradley is right that it's tough on the bike, but if you're not doing it every day, it should be no big deal.
