Default New sporty problem
Hi all - i just bought my first HD (2006 XL1200C) and discovered the speedometer reads 10-15 MPH fast. If I do 70-75 according to the speedometer, i'm actually only making about 60. Has anyone else had this experience?

My wife was behind me recently in her car and she swears I was going a lot faster than what mine was reading.....
Kinda the opposite of what your's is doin

I must be lucky. My speedo is right on, according to the cop's radar. No, I didn't get a ticket.

Mine reads a couple of mph faster than actual speed.

get it calibrated .. mines on the dot, got it calibrated on the thundermax

my ducati speedo is 5 MPH faster then my road speed at 50 MPH, and it gets worse, at 80, my speedo says im doing 100, at 120 my speedo is at 160

my harley is a little under, 65 on the speedo is 70.


both bikes have cable driven speedometers, is it possible to calibrate these or do i just live with it?
