Default Changing out stock AC element

OK, so far have done the cycle shacks slip-on's--nice sound. I'm looking to just switch out the AC stock filter element to a K&N filter element with no other AC box mods at this time as I am still breaking in the bike. Looking at the J&P Cycles part # 402-035. If I do this, will there need to be any re-mapping done? Only have 250 miles on the bike now. Is it OK to just switch out the filter element at this point? Thanks.

As long as your just changing the filter element, and not going to a whole new A/C with increased flow, you shouldnt have a problem.

Was mentioned to me the stock filter is washable, does not take any oil,is a lot safer than the filters that take oil as far as getting oil on any kind of sensor, which I guess there has been some issues.

ya...wash it and when you're ready for more flow go with something else entirely...with a PCIII or Fuelpak of course.

Thanks. I'll just wait till all is broken in, then do a hi-flow AC upgrade.
