when i bought my 03 sporty this yr it had the stock handle bars on it, actually everything was stock, now that im tinkering with it here and there i need new handlebars because of uncomfortable riding on long bike rides, does anyone have any suggestions??? i was thinking about buckhorn handlebars??
what about them is uncomfortable? if your tall like myself a set of apes or mini apes would allow you to get more comfy. or a set of drag bars could be nice.
yea im 6'3 i have the 10" harley apes with stock risers it is much more comfortable. im wishing they were a bit higher though they are around shoulder height a little bit less. so i think im going to go with 14 or 16" bars over the winter. the 10" bars allowed me to use stock cables with minor manipulation of the brake line.
I am 6' and had the same problem with my neck getting sore on long rides. I put the handelbars from Sportster low on which come farther back. Lots better.
I think you'd like the mini-apes. I too wish I had gone with 12" instead of the dyna wide glide bars which are 10.5". I am going to add riser extensions to my stock
1.5" or get some 3" straight risers and I think i'll have it near perfect. Remember that the mini-apes are wider than buckhorns which give you better control.
